As Executive Vice President and head of Verita’s complex practice group, Peter oversees all activities related to securities, international, antitrust and government actions. With two decades of experience, Peter has directly overseen nearly one-third of the top 100 domestic and international settlements of all time, including settlements related to Enron ($7.2 bn), AOL Time Warner ($2.2 bn), Household ($1.57 bn), Fortis (€1.3 bn Netherlands), Steinhoff (€1.3 billion Netherlands/South Africa), Toyota Unintended Acceleration ($1.3 bn), Valeant ($1.21 bn) and AIG ($975 mm). These cases include the largest ever class-action settlement and the two largest collective action settlements in Europe.

As the CEO of Gilardi for more than a decade prior to its acquisition, Peter brings broad experience to his role, as he worked as counsel in private practice and in senior level management in both private and public technology companies. He has been a driver for digitalization within the class action industry, including the development of the first online filing portal in securities settlements and the drive to digital payments. Peter has lectured on settlement and claims administration issues to international institutions, investors, and client panels in the United States, Europe, and Asia. He has testified in courts throughout the country on settlement matters and has been a featured speaker at various Federal judicial conferences.

Peter holds a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley, a J.D and M.B.A. from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and an LL.M, with distinction, in International Financial Regulation from the University of London. A proud native San Franciscan of multiple generations, Peter served in the Jesuit International Volunteers in Micronesia prior to law school. While there, he taught high school, helped prison inmates obtain their GED’s, and taught English to immigrant workers. He is a board member of the Salesian Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco, an advisory board member of the Okizu Foundation, which serves children with cancer, and a former Board member of the Legal Aid Society – Employment Law Center.

As an Executive Vice President of Corporate Restructuring and Trustee & Fiduciary Services (TFS), Rebecca brings two decades of industry experience to the Verita team. Rebecca leverages her broad range of expertise in consumer and corporate bankruptcy matters coupled with specialty fund and depository services to partner with clients seeking fiduciary administration services. She manages the TFS Business Development team along with her key client relationships and facilitates the growth of new client engagements. Prior to Verita, Rebecca worked as the National Account Executive for a software and fiduciary services provider.

Rebecca is an Ambassador board member of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees (NABT). She is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), National Association of Federal Equity Receivers (NAFER), California Receiver’s Forum (CRF), Commercial Receiver’s Association (CRA), INSOL International, American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), International Women’s Insolvency Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors (AIRA). In addition, Rebecca serves on several committees with NABT and NAFER.

As Executive Vice President of Trustee & Fiduciary Services (TFS), Jason brings over 20 years of experience to the Verita TFS Division. Leveraging his expertise in case administration software and software requirements for court approved trustees, Jason ensures Verita clients receive exceptional customer service and experience a smooth transition during conversion periods.

Prior to Verita, Jason was the President and Founder of TitleXI, a court approved case administration software service that was subsequently acquired by KCC. Before founding TitleXI, he was the lead developer for a software and fiduciary services provider.

Drake serves as Verita’s General Counsel and Executive Vice President. Drake advises on all aspects of the company’s business operations and best practices and is responsible for the creation and execution of short and long-term strategies. As a member of Verita’s Executive Committee, Drake helps oversee the company’s strategic direction and initiatives; efficiency and effectiveness of business lines; and expansion into new markets. Over the last fifteen years, Drake has held several leadership positions at Verita and brings significant managerial and industry expertise to the company’s management team.

Drake ensures a high standard of excellence in legal, compliance, client service, technology development and financial performance. He serves as an important resource to current and prospective clients on the design and execution of case administrations and provides strategic guidance to various teams to implement client programs achieve efficient, streamlined and cost-effective results.

Prior to joining Verita, Drake was a senior associate in the Financial Restructuring practice at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. Focused on corporate restructurings, Drake represented creditors’ committees and bondholder committees, debtors in possession, post-petition lenders and acquirers of distressed assets. He also has significant experience with corporate financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, and commercial transactions.

Drake received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. While serving as an articles editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, he was a member of Order of the Coif and St. Thomas More Law Honor Society, as well as a Sayre MacNeil Scholar. Drake received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Tufts University.

As Executive Vice President, Evan oversees Verita’s Corporate Restructuring division, including the consulting and operations departments. With two decades of experience, Evan provides an in-depth knowledge to the corporate restructuring process, which he uses to ensure that all of Verita’s restructuring cases are properly staffed with the most experienced consultants best suited for the particular requirements of each case. Prior to his current position, Evan managed the claims administration and noticing process for dozens of clients, including Circuit City, Delphi Corporation, Hostess Brands, Magna Entertainment, New Century Financial, Overseas Shipholding Group and Peabody Energy.

In addition to managing the most experienced consulting team in the industry, Evan oversees various committees to enhance the overall quality of Verita’s client services. Evan works closely with the technology department and steers their efforts to create new advancements and improve existing features to Verita’s various technology platforms and websites. Evan also identifies and implements training programs and procedures to facilitate the professional growth of all corporate restructuring consultants. He also works directly with the production department to ensure Verita’s continued reputation for providing the highest quality noticing materials while utilizing the latest possible deadlines.

Admitted to practice law in California, Evan earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from University of California Los Angeles.

Sarah brings more than a decade of experience in the legal profession to her role as Verita’s Assistant General Counsel. She is responsible for managing general matters including corporate governance, data privacy, compliance, risk management, and contract negotiation.

Her background as a bankruptcy and restructuring attorney, coupled with her complex administration experience, in-depth knowledge of the settlement industry, and process expertise make her an invaluable asset to Verita.

During her tenure at Verita, Sarah has handled numerous aspects of securities class action administrations, including the preparation of distribution plans and notice documents, as well as managing distributions. She also oversaw the securities fraud investigation process. Prior to joining Verita, Sarah worked for a large claims administrator where she handled bankruptcy and class action case administrations, including supervision of case noticing, claims management, and case communications. She also has experience in business development and relationship management.

Sarah previously practiced as a corporate restructuring attorney at K&L Gates, representing chapter 11 debtors, creditors’ committees, and chapter 7 trustees.

Sarah received her Juris Doctor cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she was an articles editor for the Loyola University Chicago Law Journal. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Government cum laude from the University of Notre Dame.

Mike brings over 25 years of information technology (IT) and cybersecurity experience to his role as Chief Information Officer. He oversees all IT functions and Verita’s team of technology experts to ensure that the company’s proprietary platforms meet the evolving needs of the business. Mike guides risk management, governance, business continuity and disaster recovery efforts, and in addition, has extensive experience with audit and security best practice through application of industry standard benchmarks such as compliance with NIST guidelines, ISO standards, and CIS benchmarks.

As a former Regional Development Manager at Computershare, Mike oversaw a wide range of teams working with a variety of technologies to deliver innovative solutions to multiple business lines. Mike’s background in IT, cybersecurity, and financial services has allowed him to play an integral role in both technical and managerial capacities for several of Computershare’s strategic acquisitions.

Mike earned his degree with Honors in Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. He has been awarded Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status from the United Kingdom Engineering Council and has been recognized as a Chartered IT Professional (CITP) by the British Computer Society.

As Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) of Corporate Restructuring and Trustee & Fiduciary Services, Albert drives the strategic direction of the company’s client engagement initiatives. In addition, he oversees the business development professionals who lead regional campaigns to solidify Verita market leadership position in claims administration and noticing solutions.

He brings over two decades of experience to his role at Verita. Prior to his role as SEVP, he served as Vice President of Corporate Restructuring guiding the strategic development and implementation of Verita’s services, maximizing the scope and value of the company’s suite of chapter 11 service offerings.

Previously, Albert represented debtors and official committees in chapter 11 restructuring engagements as an associate in the Restructuring Group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. While at the firm’s New York office, he worked on cases including Calpine Corporation, Collins & Aikman Corporation, Solutia, Inc. and Wellman Inc.

Albert was recently recognized by the M&A Advisors for his outstanding contributions to the restructuring industry in their Annual 40 Under 40 Recognition Awards. Admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, he earned his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law. While serving as an editor of the Fordham Urban Law Journal, he was awarded the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award. Albert received his Master’s in Public Administration from New York University Robert F. Wagner Graduate School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Michigan.

Lara brings two decades of experience to her role as Executive Vice President of Settlement Fund Accounting. She is responsible for strategic growth and guidance in settlement fund accounting, banking, distributions, and tax compliance. In the last ten years, Lara and her team have overseen the distribution of more than 7,700 class distributions, representing over 31 million payments and more than $17 Billion in assets. In recent years, $4 billion of these monies have been distributed in EUR, CAD, ZAR in support of collective actions and non-US settlements. As the marketplace for digital disbursements continues to grow, this team has helped facilitate more than 100+ digital distributions to more than 3 million claimants via PayPal, Venmo, Zello, Amazon and Interac.

Prior to joining Verita, Lara specialized in public accounting for over a decade, serving as an audit manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Financial Services sector based in San Francisco, Singapore and New York. Throughout her years of experience in settlement administration, Lara has overseen more than 2,600 settlement administrations, which have included some of the largest and most complex private settlements in history: Enron, UnitedHealth, Facebook, Pfizer, and Fortis (Europe).

Lara graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and Psychology, and holds a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, Australia, as well as a Certified Treasury Professional Certificate and a California C.P.A. License.

As a results driven CFO, Geoff leads the finance team with over 25 years of accounting experience in financial management, strategic planning, and business growth. He works with the Verita leadership team to optimize financial performance, drive operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

In 2023, Geoff assumed the role of CFO at Verita. Prior to this, he held various financial leadership positions within Computershare since 2012, including serving as the financial lead for KCC starting in 2015. Geoff’s extensive experience also includes financial executive roles at Sara Lee and Hyatt Corporation. Notably, he served as the CFO of SDI Inc., a subsidiary of Hyatt Corporation.

Geoff received a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Illinois State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

As Senior Vice President, Doreen brings over 35 years of dedicated bankruptcy experience to her role as Product Owner. She began working in the Clerk’s Office for the United States Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of Florida, for eight years before working as a trustee assistant for one of the highest-volume asset-case producing chapter 7 panel trustees for six years. In 2002, she was appointed to the chapter 7 panel of trustees, a role which she held for 21 years before retiring to join Verita in 2023.

Having been a trustee, Doreen relied on Verita’s Trustee & Fiduciary Services software to streamline her work process. Doreen leverages her extensive knowledge and unique perspective to drive the development of innovative solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients with a commitment to client satisfaction and improving efficiency.

Doreen is a member of National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees (NABT) and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI). She received her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting and minor in Computer Information Systems. She has been a licensed CPA in Florida since 2003.

As Chief Technology Officer, Brett brings over 25 years of information technology (IT) experience. Brett oversees all aspects of Verita’s IT infrastructure, including cloud and data center services; Settlement Administration Technology/Development Teams and Verita data management.  Brett also directs Operations, Technology, Product Management and Customer Support for the Trustee and Fiduciary Services group. Prior to Verita, he worked as the Head of Operations for TitleXI Software Services, directing all company technology, operations, and support. Before that he was the Director of Investment Operations for Pacific Life Insurance Company directing multiple teams responsible for investment middle and back-office operations, institutional client liability operations, and strategic business and technical integration.

Brett received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine and two Bachelor degrees in Accounting and Economics from the University of Louisville.
