As Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) of Corporate Restructuring and Trustee & Fiduciary Services, Albert drives the strategic direction of the company’s client engagement initiatives. In addition, he oversees the business development professionals who lead regional campaigns to solidify Verita market leadership position in claims administration and noticing solutions.

He brings over two decades of experience to his role at Verita. Prior to his role as SEVP, he served as Vice President of Corporate Restructuring guiding the strategic development and implementation of Verita’s services, maximizing the scope and value of the company’s suite of chapter 11 service offerings.

Previously, Albert represented debtors and official committees in chapter 11 restructuring engagements as an associate in the Restructuring Group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. While at the firm’s New York office, he worked on cases including Calpine Corporation, Collins & Aikman Corporation, Solutia, Inc. and Wellman Inc.

Albert was recently recognized by the M&A Advisors for his outstanding contributions to the restructuring industry in their Annual 40 Under 40 Recognition Awards. Admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, he earned his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law. While serving as an editor of the Fordham Urban Law Journal, he was awarded the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award. Albert received his Master’s in Public Administration from New York University Robert F. Wagner Graduate School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Michigan.

Lara brings two decades of experience to her role as Executive Vice President of Settlement Fund Accounting. She is responsible for strategic growth and guidance in settlement fund accounting, banking, distributions, and tax compliance. In the last ten years, Lara and her team have overseen the distribution of more than 7,700 class distributions, representing over 31 million payments and more than $17 Billion in assets. In recent years, $4 billion of these monies have been distributed in EUR, CAD, ZAR in support of collective actions and non-US settlements. As the marketplace for digital disbursements continues to grow, this team has helped facilitate more than 100+ digital distributions to more than 3 million claimants via PayPal, Venmo, Zello, Amazon and Interac.

Prior to joining Verita, Lara specialized in public accounting for over a decade, serving as an audit manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Financial Services sector based in San Francisco, Singapore and New York. Throughout her years of experience in settlement administration, Lara has overseen more than 2,600 settlement administrations, which have included some of the largest and most complex private settlements in history: Enron, UnitedHealth, Facebook, Pfizer, and Fortis (Europe).

Lara graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and Psychology, and holds a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, Australia, as well as a Certified Treasury Professional Certificate and a California C.P.A. License.

As a results driven CFO, Geoff leads the finance team with over 25 years of accounting experience in financial management, strategic planning, and business growth. He works with the Verita leadership team to optimize financial performance, drive operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

In 2023, Geoff assumed the role of CFO at Verita. Prior to this, he held various financial leadership positions within Computershare since 2012, including serving as the financial lead for KCC starting in 2015. Geoff’s extensive experience also includes financial executive roles at Sara Lee and Hyatt Corporation. Notably, he served as the CFO of SDI Inc., a subsidiary of Hyatt Corporation.

Geoff received a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Illinois State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

As Chief Technology Officer, Brett brings over 25 years of information technology (IT) experience. Brett oversees all aspects of Verita’s IT infrastructure, including cloud and data center services; Settlement Administration Technology/Development Teams and Verita data management.  Brett also directs Operations, Technology, Product Management and Customer Support for the Trustee and Fiduciary Services group. Prior to Verita, he worked as the Head of Operations for TitleXI Software Services, directing all company technology, operations, and support. Before that he was the Director of Investment Operations for Pacific Life Insurance Company directing multiple teams responsible for investment middle and back-office operations, institutional client liability operations, and strategic business and technical integration.

Brett received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine and two Bachelor degrees in Accounting and Economics from the University of Louisville.

As Senior Vice President, Doreen brings over 35 years of dedicated bankruptcy experience to her role as Product Owner. She began working in the Clerk’s Office for the United States Bankruptcy Court, Middle District of Florida, for eight years before working as a trustee assistant for one of the highest-volume asset-case producing chapter 7 panel trustees for six years. In 2002, she was appointed to the chapter 7 panel of trustees, a role which she held for 21 years before retiring to join Verita in 2023.

Having been a trustee, Doreen relied on Verita’s Trustee & Fiduciary Services software to streamline her work process. Doreen leverages her extensive knowledge and unique perspective to drive the development of innovative solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients with a commitment to client satisfaction and improving efficiency.

Doreen is a member of National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees (NABT) and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI). She received her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting and minor in Computer Information Systems. She has been a licensed CPA in Florida since 2003.

As director of Trustee & Fiduciary Services (TFS), Josh is responsible for the development of technology solutions for the Verita TFS team. With almost a decade in legal industry experience, Josh oversees and supports all IT systems and activities necessary to trustee’s fiduciary administration of bankruptcy cases.

Over the past 20 years, Josh has worked with companies ranging in size from smaller startups to larger organizations including Microsoft, Visa, and Disney. With his seasoned experience in systems analysis and design, he has successfully overseen and supported teams in providing strategic, innovative, and effective technology solutions across multiple industries.

Josh is a Microsoft Certified developer. He studied Computer Science at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

As Vice President of Class Action Services, Ivan oversees all aspects of operations, management, and strategic development. Ivan is a key contributor to the ongoing growth and implementation of strategies related to legal notifications and claims administrations.

Ivan has over a decade of experience in the class action industry. Ivan’s expertise has been instrumental in managing numerous settlements of varying sizes and complexities, resulting in the distribution of billions of dollars in settlement funds. He has also played integral roles in some of the most significant cases in history. Ivan has appeared as an expert panelist and speaker at industry conferences and has contributed his insights before various entities.

Ivan holds an Honors, Bachelor of Arts from Western University, and the Canadian Securities Course. He is fluent in English and French, and an active board member of numerous non-profit organizations.

Joseph brings more than 25 years of corporate restructuring experience to his role as Director of Communications. In his role, he oversees external communications to stakeholders including the creation of key messaging and documents throughout the life of each case as well as the day-to-day operations of the call center. In addition, he assists with special research projects and in claims and ballots analysis.

Joseph’s recent list of notable cases includes Windstream, Peabody Energy, Eastman Kodak, and Garrett Motion.

Before joining Verita, Joseph worked in corporate communications and investor relations for Sitrick and Company, where he was involved in some of the firm’s largest branding and restructuring cases.

Joseph received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the California State University, Northridge.

Darlene brings close to two decades of corporate restructuring experience to her role as Director. As Director, she provides claims and legal administration services to Verita’s clients. She contributes to the continued success of Verita by overseeing the daily management of chapter 11 cases, including Schedules and Statement of Financial Affairs, claims and noticing services, and solicitation.

She has worked on several notable chapter 11 cases, including Enviva, Inc., Cyxtera Technologies, Inc., Avianca Holdings S.A., Garrett Motion Inc., Starry Group Holdings, Inc., Delphi Corporation, and Westinghouse Electric Company.

Darlene graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Lance brings over a decade of experience to his role as Vice President. He is responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely completion of securities class actions, managing client relationships, and providing guidance through the entire claims administration process.

Throughout his time in settlement administration, Lance has managed numerous notable cases. Some of these administrations include JPMorgan, Bank of America, Avon Products, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Delphi, and Nortel.

Prior to his current role, Lance spent time focusing on complex securities related transactions arising out of restructuring cases, such as securities solicitation, rights offerings, tender offers, loan syndications and distributions to securities holders. Some of these engagements include Extraction Oil and Gas, Superior Energy Services and Garrett Motion.

Lance received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Technology from State University of New York at Farmingdale.

Lana brings a decade of experience in settlement administration to her role as Vice President at Verita. She oversees all aspects of case management, ensuring operational efficiencies and successful implementation of settlement requirements and plans of administration. She is also heavily involved in the development and testing of operational process improvements to meet business and client needs.

Lana has managed numerous notable cases, including In re Anthem, Inc. Data Breach Litigation, Birchmeier et al. v. Caribbean Cruise Line, Inc. et al., Kolinek v. Walgreen Co., Experian Data Breach Litigation, and Facebook Biometric Information Privacy Litigation.

Lana has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science: Legal Studies from California State University, Chico.

As a Vice President of Trustee & Fiduciary Services (TFS), Tim brings over 30 years of experience to the Verita TFS team. In addition to training new clients on TFS software, Tim oversees hardware installations and conversions. He is instrumental in ongoing software and sale support.

Prior to Verita, Tim was at TitleXI, a court approved case administration software service that was subsequently acquired by KCC. Before TitleXI, he was a Support Services Manager at a software and fiduciary services provider. Tim has been a member of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees (NABT) since 1995 and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) since 2015.
