Shawn Gilhula
Director
Shawn brings two decades of settlement administration experience to his role as a Director of Operations where he oversees the daily procedure and client interactions of Verita’s Government Division. He is responsible for all aspects of division projects including pricing, procedures and protocols, and oversees mail intake, document input and scanning divisions.
He brings a depth of knowledge, insight, and understanding of the settlement industry and its processes, making him an invaluable asset to the Verita team. Shawn is seen by his team and clients as a trusted, informed, and meticulous problem-solver. He consistently goes above and beyond to provide streamlined and cost-efficient solutions for his clients.
Shawn has been integrally involved in some of Canada’s most prominent cases both national and provincial. These cases include Shell Polybutylene Pipes, KPMG – Overtime Redress Plan, Behr Wood Sealant, Walkerton Compensation Plan, Indian Residential Schools Class Action Litigation, and Roth and Fifield – Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped.
Shawn received his Diploma in Law and Security Administration from Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. Additionally, he is a Chartered Insurance Professional, a member of the Insurance Institute of Canada, and has been a Licentiate in Adjusting since 1993.
